After launching a new seasonal service to Barcelona, resuming flights to Preveza in Greece, and debuting nonstop flights to Thessaloniki, LOT Polish Airlines is back with another announcement. Starting January 14, 2026, the Polish flag carrier will launch a direct service to Istanbul from one of its upcoming regional airports, Gdańsk.
The intent behind the new route is simple: strengthen flight connections for Poland’s regional airports and, in the process, provide commuters with more options. LOT Polish Airlines will operate the Gdańsk-Istanbul route four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The outbound flight will depart from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport at 16:35, while the return service will leave Istanbul at 22:10 (both times mentioned are local). Each sector’s flight time will be about 2 hours and 50 minutes.
