Hyundai is taking their already popular Ionic 6 and adding the N Line treatment in anticipation of a later Ionic 6 N release. The photos released by them show the tail end of an Ionic 6 that appears to have been given the full N enhancements.
We’re not here to make conjectures or create rumors about an N model, we’re here to talk about the N Line, which is a sportier Ionic 6. Their RN22e Rolling Lab concept inspired the N Line car with sculpted bumpers, a dynamic stance, and some interior enhancements. The steering wheel was upgraded and redesigned along with some materials, a refined center console, and a larger climate control display. Naturally, some of these were customer-driven, and others are more of an appearance package to set it apart from the standard Ionic 6.
“IONIQ 6 has evolved from a single Electrified Streamliner into a lineup, each model expressing its own character while staying true to one refined vision,” said Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center. “Under the evolved design concept of ‘Pure Flow, Refined’, we’ve enhanced every line and detail to make IONIQ 6 simpler and more progressive.”
The standard Ionic 6 has been redesigned with an extended ducktail spoiler, front and rear details with separate slim DRLs and main lamps. The horizontal elements give the car a wider stance, and the rear and front have similar chrome garnish.
The N Line, on the other hand, has a more aggressive design with the front and rear wing-shaped bumpers. They’ve used more black colors at the rear and the two-dimensional Parametric Pixel lamp design helps to give a retro vibe.
The teased Ionic 6 N teased in the photograph will be released in July of this year. If it’s anything like the Ionic 5 N, it will be bonkers, fake engine noises and all.
Cheers!
