GM’s OnStar Services Go Live In KSA

General Motors (GM) has launched OnStar Connected Services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The newly introduced technology unlocks various safety, connectivity and convenience features across Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac vehicles.

The owners have two plans to choose from – Connect and Protect. Opting for the former ropes in features such as remote commands, vehicle status checks, on-demand diagnostics, connected navigation, destination download and 24×7 support. As the name suggests, the latter uplifts the safety quotient with features like Automatic Crash Response, accident detection and vigilance towards stealing the vehicle or misplaced keys. The per-month cost for the plans starts at SAR 109. The bundle offer is available for a monthly fee of SAR 165.

A pack of free connected services for 10 years is available for OnStar-equipped vehicles. Once activated, owners can use features like Diagnostic Alerts, Monthly Diagnostic Reports, Dealer Maintenance notifications, Smart Driver, and Vehicle Software Updates OTA. OnStar services can be activated by pressing the OnStar blue button. Otherwise, owners can get help from their nearest dealership.
