Etihad To Deploy Its Largest Bird On Toronto Route

The move will increase passenger capacity and introduce ‘The Residence’ as an option for the wealthy.

Fancy travelling in a three-room suite from Abu Dhabi to Toronto? Perhaps the opposite sector suits you better. Whatever the case, this option will soon be available for Etihad Airways customers. Yes, the UAE’s national carrier has announced that from June 24, 2025, one of its Airbus A380s will operate between Abu Dhabi and Toronto, Canada. The connection, a daily affair, will start with flight EY21 that departs from the UAE’s capital at 02:40 and lands in Toronto at 09:00. The return leg, EY22, will begin and conclude its journey at 13:40 and 11:00 the next day, respectively.

In addition to the three-room suite, ‘The Residence,’ Emirates’ A380 has three other cabin configurations: First, Business, and Economy. The double-decker jumbo jet, which also claims the title of the largest commercial aircraft in service, will offer increased capacity for both passengers and cargo.

Etihad has also listed special fares for those booking tickets by March 5, 2025. One-way fares to Abu Dhabi start at CAD 880 for Economy, CAD 2,380 for Business Class, and CAD 8,380 for First Class travel. In the same order, the return fares are CAD 1,380, CAD 3,380, and CAD 10,380, for travel dates between June 24 and December 8, 2025.
