Emirates is updating more of its planes and adding Premium Economy seats on several popular routes. Since late 2022, the airline has revamped 60 aircraft, including Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s. The Dubai-headquartered airline is upgrading one plane roughly every three weeks.
Zurich Route Gets Premium Economy in 2026
From February 2026, travellers flying between Dubai and Zurich (EK87/88) can book seats in Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin. These seats promise more space, comfort, and better service than regular Economy Class, while costing noticeably less than Business Class.

- Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires flights are now daily
- Shanghai (EK302/303) now uses the larger A380, while EK304/305 will switch to an updated Boeing 777 from July 20
