The New Ferrari Amalfi: Merging Sporty Drive with Daily Comfort

The Ferrari Amalfi marks a significant new entry in Ferrari’s roster, replacing the Roma as a stylish and high-performance 2+ coupé. Designed to blend sportiness with everyday usability, Ferrari Amalfi also introduces a fresh balance of dynamic driving, comfort, and refinement, appealing to enthusiasts who desire an exhilarating yet practical grand tourer.

Ferrari Amalfi : Design and Aesthetics

Ferrari’s design team, led by Flavio Manzoni, adopted a modern minimalist approach, emphasising sleek, sculpted lines and clean surfaces. The front showcases a large air intake and a long, smoothly contoured bonnet that houses a turbocharged V8 engine producing 640 horsepower. The rear features an integrated active spoiler to boost stability at high speeds, complemented by forged wheels and carbon fibre accents that exude a sporty, refined persona. Inside, the cabin adopts a dual-cockpit layout, creating a connected interior environment. The new steering wheel, equipped with physical buttons and a nostalgic start button, enhances tactile feedback. A central digital display and intuitive controls facilitate easy operation, even during spirited driving. The cabin’s material quality is elevated with carbon fibre accents, contrast stitching, and optional luxurious features like massage seats and a premium Burmester audio system, creating an environment that’s both exclusive and functional. The rear seats can be used to increase practicality, accommodating children and additional cargo.

Ferrari Amalfi : Powertrain

At its core, the Amalfi features an upgraded twin-turbo V8 from Ferrari’s renowned F154 family, making full use of advanced turbocharging management. It delivers 640 horsepower at 7,500 rpm, with a redline of 7,600 rpm, offering rapid throttle response and smooth power delivery. The engine employs innovative control systems, including independent management of each turbocharger’s RPM—up to 171,000 rpm—enhancing responsiveness and pressure regulation. Engine weight has been reduced through lightweight components like new camshafts and a reengineered engine block. A new low-viscosity oil improves cold starts and reduces resistance. The powertrain’s efficiency is supported by a highly refined eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, providing fast, seamless gear changes. Exhaust notes are carefully tuned with a new layout that balances compliance with noise regulations and the signature Ferrari sound, thanks to a new silencer, ceramic catalysts, and a sophisticated exhaust bypass valve.

Ferrari Amalfi : Exterior Styling

The Amalfi’s exterior design evolves Ferrari’s classic 2+ coupé silhouette, echoing the elegance of the Roma but with a more sculpted, modern character. The clean, monolithic body features sharp aerodynamic elements, minimal openings, and a floating wing above the grille that subtly integrates sensors and lights. The rear design incorporates a clean, compact tail with hidden tail lights and an aerodynamic diffuser. 2. The debut colour, Verde Costiera—a vibrant teal inspired by the Amalfi coast—accentuates the dynamic surfaces and adds vibrancy to the design.

Ferrari Amalfi : Interior

Inside, the Amalfi’s dual-cockpit theme creates a driver-focused environment that connects the driver and passenger visually and physically. The dashboard’s monolithic design merges the instrument cluster and air vents into a single unit, while the central tunnel, milled from aluminium, holds functional controls, wireless chargers, and storage. Optional comfort features include seats with massage functions, ventilation, and personalisation options. The infotainment system features a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 8.8-inch co-driver display, all supporting Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®. The car also offers remote connectivity through Ferrari’s MyFerrari app, ensuring comprehensive control and monitoring.

Ferrari Amalfi : Aerodynamics and Active Technologies

The Amalfi’s aerodynamic package results from advanced CFD simulations and wind tunnel testing, ensuring both class-leading efficiency and high downforce. Notable features include underbody fairings, vortex generators at the front, and a redesigned rear diffuser. The active rear spoiler can switch between three configurations—Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce—depending on driving needs, automatically adjusting to optimise performance and stability.

Ferrari Amalfi : Driving Dynamics

Ferrari has integrated cutting-edge vehicle dynamics systems to elevate driving enjoyment. The brake-by-wire system improves braking performance and pedal feel, while the ABS Evo system enhances stopping power across a variety of surfaces using data from a 6D sensor. The grip estimation system, based on electric power steering, offers rapid and accurate assessments of tire traction, aiding responsiveness. A rear active spoiler further increases stability during aggressive manoeuvres by adding rear downforce. The vehicle’s electronic architecture includes advanced driver aid systems, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, collision avoidance, traffic sign recognition, and driver drowsiness detection, ensuring safety without compromising agility.

Ferrari Amalfi : Tire and Chassis

Wheels measure 20 inches, paired with tires sized 245/35 R20 front and 285/35 R20 rear, co-developed with Pirelli and Bridgestone. These tires balance sporty handling with ride comfort, maintaining a refined driving experience.

Ferrari Amalfi : Maintenance

Ferrari offers an impressive program providing a seven-year genuine maintenance plan, covering all routine service needs with original parts and expert checks at regular intervals—every 20,000 km or annually, with no mileage restrictions. This service is available globally through official Ferrari dealerships, ensuring that owners can keep their Amalfi in peak condition and preserve its performance and value over time.
