Bugatti launches its first-ever eyewear collection

It gets made from the most expensive materials in the world

Bugatti, a brand name synonymous with developing the fastest cars globally, has now forayed into retailing luxury eyewear. The French hypercar manufacturer has joined hands with Larry Sands, a free spirit and pioneer of eyewear fashion, to present the first-ever Bugatti collection, Collection One.

The Collection One eyewear series from Bugatti was presented at an exclusive private event at the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan. The range includes nine styles in 37 models made of different materials such as palladium, 925 sterling silver, carbon fibre and Makassar ebony. The design combines tradition and modernity with visual references to Bugatti’s earlier and current iconic design languages.

Similar to Bugatti’s car production techniques, materials and manufacturing techniques utilised towards watch production were previously unknown in the eyewear industry. Hence, all glasses were made in Japan with the most expensive materials in the world, such as 925 sterling silver with 18-carat gold and palladium. The wire insert is reminiscent of the horseshoe-shaped radiator grille pattern of Bugatti sportscars found in all 37 eyewear models.

Collection One is available in highly exclusive boutiques with prices ranging from $1,295 to $15,000. One can view all Bugatti Collection One models at this link.
