Bentley unveils first-ever Mulliner bespoke edition designed for the Indian market

Called the ‘Opulence Edition’, each customised car represents colours from the Indian national flag

The vintage art of coachbuilt cars is seeing a steep revival run in the modern era as most luxury carmakers now boast a division dedicated towards customisations. British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce delivered close to a dozen unique and exclusive coachbuilt iterations of its existing models to its most esteemed clients.

And now, Bentley is on the prowl to better this feat as an Indian Bentley retailer has commissioned five individually curated models through the marque’s Mulliner division, creating what is known as the ‘Opulence Edition.’ This marks the first time a Mulliner bespoke edition was created specifically for the Indian market.

Each car pays tribute to India’s national colors with the exteriors of all five cars getting adorned by Scarab Green paint finish, used only on the Bentley Bacalar. The orange and green from the Indian flag are represented inside the cabin via a Mandarin main hide and Cumbrian Green secondary hide upholstery. Even the mirror-like front fascia gets the Cumbrian Green finish along with an inset chrome motif featuring wild horses and mountain peaks on all cars.

The five-car ‘Opulence Edition’ comprises a Continental GT Speed grand tourer, a Flying Spur speed luxury limousine and three Bentayga EWB Azure Edition SUVs. Each of these five offerings further feature elements unique to itself comprising 22-inch dark tint Speed wheels, contrast-coloured stitching on the upholstery and diamond knurling on switchgear among others. Mechanically, all cars remain unchanged.
