Aston Martin Valiant, Valour, Valkyrie set to thrill at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Aston Martin’s line-up includes motorsport models and the one-off Victor
The Festival of Speed held in July every year is a highlight event of the British summer season for speed lovers. And Aston Martin seems to be going the extra mile with both, its line-up at the car festival and its alliteration of the letter V as models Valkyrie, Valour, Valiant, Victor, and Vantage are set to headline for the marque at the famous Goodwood Hillclimb.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024, slated to be hosted between July 11th and July 14th, will witness the global debut of the Aston Martin Valiant – one of just 38 ultra-exclusive, track-focused, road-legal special editions. Aston Martin created the Valiant following a personal commission by the two-time Formula One World Champion and the marque’s Formula One Team driver Fernando Alonso, who will drive the new car on Friday at Goodwood. This particular car comes with a Muncher-inspired specification as a nod to the legendary Aston Martin Le Mans race car.
Joining the Valiant within the Aston Martin paddock will be Aston’s former Goodwood debutant, the Valkyrie. Aston Martin debuted the Valkyrie hypercar at Goodwood in 2021 and now the Valkyrie returns to the British speed fest whilst also doubling as the inspiration for the new Valkyrie AMR-LMH-hypercar with which the British sports car maker announces its return to endurance racing in 2025.
Following the Valkyrie will be the Valour – Aston Martin’s gift to self on its 110th anniversary. The Valour is touted as an old-school driver-centric supercar with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 5.2-litre Twin-Turbo V12 powertrain combo, the last of an era.
Those aiming to see something that possesses an even more prominent old-school charm would be pleased by the presence of the one-of-a-kind Aston Martin Victor. Top Gear described it as “the hypercar the eighties never had” as it boasts a naturally-aspirated V12 engine mated to a manual gearbox and the Festival of Speed 2024 will provide a rare opportunity to witness this one-off hypercar in action.
The newer models present at the paddock consist of the newly launched Aston Martin Vantage sports car in three guises – the standard production-spec sports car, the one-off Official FIA Safety Car of Formula 1 and the new-for-2024 Vantage GT3 race car. Accompanying the Vantage will be the DB12, Aston’s and World’s first Super Tourer and the new DBX707 SUV with the revised state-of-the-art dashboard.
