In quick succession, Air India has taken some significant strides. After inking a new codeshare with Icelandair and four interline partnerships with as many European carriers within a week, the airline is back with another major announcement. On October 1, 2025, Air India will become the first Indian carrier to establish a direct connection between India and the Philippines. More specifically, it’ll begin operating flights between the capitals of both nations.
Air India will fly five weekly flights on the Delhi-Manila route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The flights will be operated by an Airbus A321neo narrowbody, featuring a three-class configuration: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.
Flight AI2362 will depart from Delhi at 13:20 and arrive in Manila at 22:40. The return leg, flight AI2361, will start and conclude its journey at 23:40 and 03:50 the next day, respectively. The introduction of this new route comes at a sweet time for Air India as the Philippines recently introduced visa-free entry for Indian passport holders for up to 14 days. Tickets for the Delhi-Manila route are now available through the carrier’s authorised channels, including the website and mobile application.
