Jacob & Co sends the Astronomia Tourbillon Bucherer Blue to space

But the fare wasn't cheap

Jacob & Co joins the elite list of watch manufacturers who can claim they’ve been to space with the Astronomia (Triple-Axis) Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE, which was worn by Eytan Stibbe, an Israeli businessman who recently took part in the 17-day Axiom Space Ax-1 Mission.

The private mission, there seems to be a thriving appetite for this sort of thing and the market is getting bigger, orbited the Earth 273 times before reaching the International Space Station for a grand total of seven million miles travelled.

The watch will be auctioned off for charity on July 26 through Sotheby’s. Get ready to have your mind blown by the amount of money it’ll inevitably fetch.
