SIX & SIX Private Residences now sail into Saint-Tropez

• SIX & SIX PRIVATE RESIDENCES has partnered with Saint-Tropez Sundowners, the private event presented by BOAT International. • The evening runs during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the Mediterranean regatta held from 26 September to 4 October 2026. • It puts the group's residential and resort portfolio in front of an international yachting and luxury lifestyle audience.

SIX & SIX Private Residences is taking its Maldives story to the French Riviera. The brand has announced a partnership with Saint-Tropez Sundowners, a private evening presented by BOAT International. It runs during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.

The timing is deliberate. Les Voiles fills the gulf with classic yachts, maxis and modern racers. It also draws precisely the crowd SIX & SIX wants in the room: people who already own boats and who might now consider owning an island home.

What is SIX & SIX Private Residences?

SIX & SIX Private Residences is a small collection of homes for private purchase in the Maldives, based in Malé. It sits beside SIX & SIX Private Islands, the sister company behind the resorts themselves, whose stated ambition is six resorts on six islands in six years. Each island carries its own name, its own architecture and its own character, so no two feel like siblings.

The residences follow the same logic. Rather than sell villas as pure real estate, the brand attaches the resort to them. Owners will have the run of the wider environment, its service and its experiences, while the home itself stays private and flexible. On its own site, SIX & SIX lists ten homes in all, which shows how tightly the collection is drawn.

Why does Saint-Tropez make sense for a Maldives brand?

Because the two worlds already overlap. Laith Pharaon, co-founder and chief executive of SIX & SIX Private Islands, points to the crossover between yachting, private travel and island living. He also describes a community that prizes privacy, freedom and experiences shaped around the individual. Those same instincts shape the residences.

Marco Bonini, director of SIX & SIX Private Residences, frames it through the buyer. He sees a shift in how people think about a second home. Design and location still matter, yet buyers increasingly want a life around the house too. They want the energy and service of a resort close at hand, while keeping the home entirely their own.

Saint-Tropez, then, is less a launch venue than a room full of the right people.

What happens at Saint-Tropez Sundowners?

Saint-Tropez Sundowners is BOAT International’s annual invitation-only evening, and the publisher stages it in the bay during the regatta, usually aboard a classic yacht. Recent editions have drawn yacht owners, builders, designers and brokers, which keeps the guest list small and the conversation easy.

For SIX & SIX, that intimacy is the point. The event gives the group a platform to properly introduce the residential portfolio. It also lets the company set out the wider vision behind SIX & SIX Private Islands, in front of an audience that rarely needs the Maldives explained.

Which SIX & SIX islands can you buy into?

Two, and both sit at private preview stage rather than open sale.

RAH GILI MALDIVES is open in South Malé Atoll, next to a dolphin sanctuary where pods pass through the lagoon daily. The resort holds 74 pool villas, and the residences here come as Water Pool Villas and Beach Pool Villas. A Water Pool Villa runs to 305 sqm, including deck and pool, with two bedrooms.

DON MAAGA MALDIVES is the second island, and it is still to open. The scale steps up sharply. Buyers choose between the AETHR Water Pavilion and the TERRA Beach Pavilion, with the AETHR reaching 800 sqm, including deck and pool, across two bedrooms. The resort around them goes further still: SIX & SIX describes a 916sqm villa with a 40-metre pool, alongside HIRIGAA, a five-bedroom private island covering 9,000sqm.

What comes next for SIX & SIX?

Four more islands. The group has mapped an eco-hideaway resort and residences in Noonu Atoll, an ultra-luxury sanctuary in Alif Dhaalu, a family-focused property in Dhaalu and a wellness retreat back in South Malé.

Furthermore, SIX & SIX has signalled that it wants to behave like a lifestyle brand rather than a resort operator. The company expects future collaborations across design, art, wellness, gastronomy, yachting and travel. Saint-Tropez fits that direction neatly, and it is a useful indication of the direction the company SIX & SIX intends to keep.
