What Are the Seat Options for the New Audi Q7?
There are three seat options available in the new Audi Q7: five-, six-, or seven-seater models. The new Q7 is available with five seats as standard, but there are also six- and seven-seat variants.
All seats are electrically adjustable. The seven-seat variant accommodates up to three car seats, whereas the six-seat variant emphasises passenger comfort for prolonged travel.
A panoramic sunroof with a transparent function is an additional option offered on higher trim levels. Storage spaces located inside the door panel and the modified central console provide additional functionality. The new centre console design features wireless charging stations for two smartphones using the Qi2 protocol, as well as large cup holders.
The maximum boot capacity in the five-seat variant is 806 litres. Folding the second-row chairs extends cargo space to 2,075 litres. The cargo area of the seven-seat variant is 722 litres with the second row up and 1,980 litres with the second row folded.
What Design and Functionality Improvements Have Been Made?
The third-generation Q7 keeps the characteristic Audi Singleframe grille and adds new styling solutions, including a high shoulder line and a redesigned front end.
New technologies are used in the model’s lighting equipment. Optional Digital Matrix LED headlights incorporate micro-LED components that enable the projection of high-resolution light patterns.
On the back end, there are third-generation OLED taillights with personalised light signatures and communication lights. The driver can select eight light signatures from each of the front and rear lighting systems.
There is a new door projection system that illuminates the road when the front doors open, and a new turn signal projection system shows turn signals on the road surface.
What Driver Assistance Features Does the New Q7 Have?
The latest Audi Q7 features several features designed to make driving safer and easier.
For example, an adaptive driving assistant system helps the driver accelerate, brake, maintain speed and distance between cars, and stay within lanes during highway driving. In addition, Audi has added a trained parking mode that allows the car owner to memorise their parking manoeuvres.
There is also a reverse assist system helping drivers automatically follow their path back when manoeuvring through narrow roads or dead ends.
In addition, lighting systems work alongside certain driver assistance features to show guidance information right in front of the car.
How Is Power Transmitted in the New Audi Q7?
Initially, the new Audi Q7 will be supplied with a 3.0-litre diesel engine in two power outputs.
While the higher-output one produces 295 bhp and 630 Nm of torque, the other produces 241 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Both diesel engines feature mild-hybrid technology that allows a temporary increase in power output of up to 24 bhp via a next-generation powertrain generator.
Moreover, an electric compressor will be integrated into the engine, improving throttle responsiveness and efficiency at low rpm.
The transmission system consists of an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission together with Audi’s quattro system, featuring a limited-slip centre differential for improved traction.
For the classic model, steel springs are used, although adaptive air suspension and adaptive air suspension sport remain available as upgrades.
Is the New Audi Q7 Practical for Day-to-Day Operations?
As in the old model, Audi maintains that the new Q7 offers a great balance between passenger needs and cargo versatility. Different seating arrangements can be made to meet customers’ needs, whether they require more passenger comfort or greater cargo capacity.
The availability of various seating options, along with high cargo capacity, makes the SUV suitable for a range of scenarios, including moving around with the whole family, working, or taking long road trips.
The third generation of the Q7 is manufactured at the factory in Bratislava, Slovakia. Audi began accepting orders in Germany in June 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin in September 2026. The Q7, with 241 bhp, will start at approximately USD 100,300, while the other, with 295 bhp, will start at USD 103,300.
