Arajet Inducts Tenth Boeing 737 MAX

Dominican Republic’s ultra-low-cost carrier, Arajet, has taken delivery of its tenth Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The 737-8 single-aisle jet joins the airline’s fleet through a lessor. Per Boeing, the 737-8 can fly up to 3,500 nautical miles nonstop.

Here’s what Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, said in an official statement:

This tenth aircraft is unique, not only because it has a special Dominican ribbon painted on the fuselage but because it will increase the number of connections we make with the continent. We are reaffirming our commitment to democratize the skies and be able to connect all our countries with the lowest possible prices.

Arajet began operations in 2022. It has an all Boeing 737 MAX fleet that serves 23 destinations across 16 countries, including Mexico, Canada and Argentina. The carrier also bagged the Startup Airline of the Year recognition at the World Aviation Summit last year.
