In 2022, Suzuki’s sales grew by over 15 per cent in the UAE compared to the previous year. The two models that drove the growth were the Jimny and the Swift. The seven-seat Ertiga and Ciaz sedan also played a crucial role in keeping the sales numbers ticking upward. Backed by a promising 2022, Suzuki has lined up three new models for the region in 2023. That comprises a mid-size SUV, a smaller SUV and a commercial vehicle. Besides new launches, the Japanese brand will inaugurate facilities in Fujairah to improve aftersales services.

Range Rover SV Makes UAE Debut At WGS 2023

A fleet of new-age Range Rover vehicles will cater to the transportation needs of the VIP delegates to the ongoing World Government Summit 2023 (WGS) in Dubai (Madinat Jumeirah). The three-day event that brings some of the brightest minds under the same roof will end on February 15, 2023. And at the venue, Al Tayer Motors, UAE’s official Land Rover importer and dealer, has showcased the new Range Rover SV. It is for the first time that the vehicle has made an appearance in the region.

Jeep India Celebrates Women Of Indian Navy

In collaboration with the Indian Navy, Jeep India has flagged off an all-women expedition on Navy Wellness & Welfare Association’s foundation day, also known as NWWA Divas. The theme is ‘She’s Unstoppable’ – to honour women heroes in the Indian Navy and its community. The convoy features lady naval officers, sailors, and spouses of naval officers. Over the 12-day rally, they will cover 2,300km, with Delhi being the start and end destination. They will travel through Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Longewala, Jodhpur and Udaipur. During their journey, the naval officers and members will undertake outreach programs at schools for special children, old-age homes and orphanages and interact with veteran families. Also on the agenda is to spread awareness about career opportunities in the Indian Navy.

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Boosts Green Energy Output

At its Chakan plant, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd. (SAVWIPL) has inaugurated one of India’s largest solar-power rooftop facilities in the automotive industry. It can produce 18.5MW of green electricity, which translates to about 26.6 million kWh of energy production per year. It will help the company reduce its dependence on non-renewable energy and move closer to the Group’s global carbon neutrality target at all its sites by 2030. SAVWIPL claims that courtesy of the enhanced solar-power rooftop, there will be a reduction in CO2 emissions by 28 per cent annually. Moreover, Green Energy will now cover up to 30 per cent of the plant’s total electricity consumption.
