Exeed Exceeding Own Expectations In The UAE

Exeed by Al Ghurair has hit the ground running in the UAE. Through its only showroom in Dubai, the Chinese carmaker has already retailed 200 SUVs in the country. Considering that operations with its authorised distributor, AG Auto, commenced less than two months ago, that is an impressive feat. The LX model accounted for 35 per cent of the overall sales, followed by the RX at 30 per cent. The TXL and VX SUVs split the remaining share.

The brand believes competitive pricing and value proposition are the main drivers for this encouraging response from the market. As a result, Exeed by Al Ghurair will open two showrooms in the national capital before 2023 comes to a close. Moreover, a second Dubai outlet is also in the works. From 2024, the carmaker will introduce a range of hybrid models, followed by pure electric vehicles.

Newly Formed JV To Boost Urban Air Mobility In The UAE

During the Dubai Airshow 2023, an agreement was inked between Embention, a company that deals in avionics, and Eanan, a Dubai-based Urban Air Mobility firm. It is for a joint venture (JV), with an initial investment of USD 5 million, that aims to manufacture at least 3,000 Embention’s Veronte Autopilots in Dubai, a core flight control system for Eanan’s aircraft – the S-700. That is the company’s largest unmanned aircraft with a payload capacity of up to 200kg.

SMBC Aviation Capital Extends Order For A320Neo

The Dubai Airshow 2023 might be over, but Airbus isn’t done doing business for the year. The European aircraft manufacturer has bagged an order for sixty A320neo family jets from aircraft lessor SMBC Aviation Capital. The new deal extends the latter’s order for the said type of aeroplane to 340. That means the Dublin-headquartered firm will keep adding new Airbus aircraft to its fleet beyond the end of the current decade.

In September this year, SMBC Aviation Capital ordered 25 Boeing 737-8 jets. Airbus, on the other hand, has had a busy November 2023. At the Dubai Airshow 2023, the aircraft maker received orders from Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, EgyptAir and airBaltic. Before that, Airbus delivered the first A321Neo to ITA Airways and bagged an order for six jets from Air Niugini.
