The new Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition is crafted for India

Limited to only 12 units and draws inspiration from the majestic colours of the tiger

In the past, the Range Rover brand has produced region-specific special editions such as the Sadaf Edition that honoured the Middle East’s pearl-diving tradition. And now, the British marque with the help of its SV Bespoke personalisation division has crafted its first-ever India-centric exclusive model called the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition with prices marked at INR 4.98 crores.

Limited to only 12 examples, Range Rover claims the new Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition “draws inspiration from the character of the tiger in its natural habitat.” As an ode to the tiger’s majestic colours, the exterior gets a bespoke deep black body colour with a rich red shimmering effect. The same gets extended to the mirror caps and the roof as well. Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite accents complement the darker black base shade, reminiscent of the stripes of the tiger. The Corinthian Bronze accents can also be found on the 23-inch forged style dark grey wheels.

The lighter interior upholstery presents a stark contrast to the darker exterior finish of the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition. A striking combination of Caraway and light Perlino semi-aniline leather with contrast stitching exudes elegance. An angular yet artistic embroidery on the seats is inspired by the dynamic motif of the stripes on the spine of the tiger. Range Rover further offers customised scatter cushions, noble chrome jewellery finishes, light linear wenge veneers and white ceramic dials to offer a whiff of ultra-luxury on the interiors of this limited-edition Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition.

Nothing screams ultra-luxury than having bespoke custom elements and the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition has many. The list comprises bespoke paint, accents, wheels, embroidered seats and cushions and SV Bespoke branded tread plates with ‘Ranthambore Edition’ and ‘1 of 12’ designation. However, the fitment of fully reclinable seats, a powered club table, deployable cupholders and a refrigerated compartment complete with SV etched glassware further add to the exclusivity of the SV Signature Suite. No changes to the engine output as it is powered by the 394hp 3.0-litre petrol engine.

Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India, said: “The Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition is the ultimate expression of Range Rover that is tailored for our discerning clients. This curated edition illustrates the refinement and customization opportunities provided by SV Bespoke, while the limited production numbers guarantee the exclusivity that our clients expect from the Range Rover brand forsuch a collector’s edition.” Additionally, Range Rover will donate a portion of proceeds from each vehicle sale to Wildlife Conservation Trust of India, for strengthening tiger and wildlife conservation efforts.
