The DB12 Volante Palm Beach Edition: Custom Artistry

Aston Martin Palm Beach has teamed up with Q by Aston Martin, the brand’s bespoke service, to create a truly unique DB12 Volante. This one-of-a-kind open-top Super Tourer beautifully blends renowned British craftsmanship with design themes inspired by the serene elegance of Palm Beach, incorporating special patterns and materials to celebrate the vibrant coastal location.

This special Palm Beach Edition DB12 Volante is a direct nod to the ocean, featuring an exclusive Q by Aston Martin Frosted Glass Blue exterior paint. This unique colour features glass flakes in its topcoat, creating a mesmerising shimmer that perfectly captures the essence of the South Florida sun. Achieving this effect requires intricate hand-spray application due to the delicate nature of the paint. The Super GT convertible also sports a crisp Club Sport White pinstripe on its front splitters, side sills, and rear bumpers, highlighting the DB12 Volante’s sporty stance. It’s finished off with striking Gloss Jet Black diamond-turned five-spoke wheels.

When the convertible top is lowered, the cabin reveals its custom features and nautically themed duotone colourways, designed to impress even onlookers. The interior of the Palm Beach Edition DB12 Volante boasts a bespoke palm-leaf motif woven throughout. This elegant pattern appears on the complementary Aurora Blue and Ivory leather, accented by Spicy Red contrast stitching. The seats feature palm-inspired embroidery, which extends to the centre armrest and door-sill panels. Even the custom-engraved polished aluminium Palm Beach Edition sill plaques showcase this distinct palm pattern. The motif continues subtly on the exterior, where the aluminium side strakes are milled to mirror the palm-style stripe. The DB12 Volante’s interior is further enhanced with open-pore Linear Light Olive Ash book-matched wood trim, chosen to evoke the rich texture of palm wood. As a subtle nod to its coastal inspiration, the vehicle even has Palm Beach’s latitude and longitude coordinates embossed onto the leather dashboard. The diagonally book-matched veneers on the back of the front seats also mimic the palm motif, complete with metal inlays engraved with “Palm Beach.”

Pedro Mota, Regional President of Aston Martin The Americas, expressed his delight, noting how this “extraordinary DB12 Volante model perfectly encapsulates the understated elegance of both Palm Beach and Aston Martin.” He added that this collaboration “merges stunning performance, artistry and luxury,” and hopes it will encourage more customers to create their unique vehicles through the Q by Aston Martin service.

The skilled in-house designers and craftspeople at Q by Aston Martin are celebrated for their ability to create truly bespoke Aston Martins, with the Palm Beach Editions serving as prime examples. They offer seemingly limitless customization, inviting customers to embark on a distinct commissioning experience where every detail, from subtle accents to fully tailored components, can be designed to their exact specifications. This offers discerning collectors the chance to own a piece of automotive artistry that perfectly reflects their unique tastes.
