Gagà Laboratorio introduces two new models in its Labormatic Collection. Labormatic Champagne – “a sparkling antithesis to Bauhaus” – and the Labormatic Azzurro – “a pastel tribute to post-war Italy.” Gagà Laboratorio is a Swiss based watch brand that combines “Italian design heritage with Swiss mechanical mastery.” The new models join the brand’s lineup of two existing models, the Labormatic Cinquanta and Labormatic Bauhaus.

Dial
Image: Labormatic Azzurro. I love the contrast of blue with the burgundy track and numerals. The moving blue window-style aperture to indicate minutes is a lovely design touch.
Stainless steel dial is made from 8 components. Sectors are applied on the dial.
Labormatic Champagne
Image: Labormatic Bauhaus, one of the two debut models for the brand.
“Labormatic Champagne stands in bold contrast to the minimalist principles of the existing Bauhaus model. Where Bauhaus is clean, precise, and restrained, Champagne is celebratory, luminous, and expressive. It’s warm, radiant tone challenges traditional codes with flair —embodying a more playful and spirited approach to elegance. It doesn’t simply complete the Bauhaus; it opposes it, offering an effervescent counterbalance that captures the joy and spontaneity suggested by its name.”
Labormatic Azzurro
Image: Labormatic Cinquanta, one of the two debut models for the brand.
“The Azzurro model complements the existing Cinquanta and adds a fresh chromatic dimension to the series. Its soft blue hue echoes the pastel tones that permeated Italian design during the post-World War II economic boom—an era when optimism, innovation, and creativity shaped everything. More than just a colour, Azzurro evokes the spirit of rebirth and cultural vibrancy that characterised Italy in the 1950s and ’60s, offering a poetic reinterpretation of an iconic period in the nation’s aesthetic history.”
Case
7-part case made from PVD coated stainless steel.
Diameter: 42 mm. Thickness: 13.30 mm.
Dial side features a double curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Caseback is screwed to the main case and features a sapphire crystal. Crown at 12 o’clock features a steel cabochon. Water resistant up to 5 ATM or approximately 50 metres.
Both models come with a handmade Italian Saffiano leather strap.
Movement
Powered by La Joux-Perret LJP-G100, an automatic movement that drives the hours, minutes, seconds, and stop-second function.
Frequency: 28,800 vph. Jewels: 24. (Both according to online sources.) Power reserve: 68 hours.
Our Thoughts
Image: Labormatic Azzurro. Versatile – dress as casual or formal as you like with these watches.
I first came across Gagà Laboratorio shortly after they were launched last year. The debut models – Cinquanta and Bauhaus – seemed beautiful and original, and I was curious to learn more about them. The launch of the new Champagne and Azzurro piqued my curiosity a great deal more.
Image: Labormatic Champagne. Italian style on your wrist.
The Champagne and Azzurro combine an abundance of Italian flair and style, an alternative time display, a dependable movement, and relative affordability. They are a masterclass in creativity and originality. They both make me smile and would complement almost any collection. I cannot wait to see them in the flesh and do a hands-on review.
