The Cullinan Black Badge Gets SPOFEC-ed

The uber-luxury Brit wears a widebody kit, rides lower and packs more punch.

SPOFEC is back with another Rolls-Royce. This time, the range-topping Black Badge version of the Cullinan was the starting point for the German tuner. The end result features a body kit, larger wheels with fatter rubber, tweaked air suspension and a punchier powertrain. Owners can even order a customised interior.

The standard Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge packs a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 that puts out 600ps/900Nm. SPOFEC boosts that peak output to 707ph/1,060Nm by connecting a plug-and-play N-Tronic auxiliary control unit. That introduces new maps for injection and ignition while increasing the maximum boost pressure. As a result, the 2.7-tonne SUV can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 4.6 seconds. The top speed, however, remains unchanged and restricted to 250kmph. A stainless steel sports exhaust system with controllable butterfly valves is also in the mix.

The more unmissable aspect is what SPOFEC calls the Overdose S widebody kit. At the front is a new bumper with integrated LED DRLs and mesh-covered air intakes. Besides adding to the dramatic overall look, the redone front fascia also helps reduce front-end lift at high speeds. The side profile reveals massively flared wheel arches, increasing the SUV’s width by 10cm at the front and 12cm at the back. Filling them nicely are the 24-inch SPOFEC’s SP3 wheels, manufactured by Vossen. Wrapping them are performance tyres with 295/30 profile. The tuner confirms that the forged rims are available in 72 colours with a polished or brushed finish.

At the back, SPOFEC added a more sporty fascia with a diffuser and integrated exhaust embellishers. There’s also a spoiler that further accentuates the makeover towards aggression. Lastly, the Cullinan’s air suspension is tweaked using a control module that lowers the ride height by 40mm. That drop helps reduce the centre of gravity, making the SUV more agile through corners. Also, the lowered height blends well with the widebody kit.

Part of the Novitec Group, SPOFEC also offers personalisation options for the Cullinan’s interior. One could have leather and Alcantara appointments in any colour to make the whole package more rounded.
