The ‘Bond in Motion’ exhibition celebrates the most iconic Bond cars

This exhibition in New York aims to provide the best Bond experience for its 60th anniversary

The James Bond franchise turns sixty this year, and the Saratoga Automobile Museum has devised a major new exhibition called ‘Bond in Motion’ to commemorate this feat. A contingent of twenty-five cars featured in the six-decade-long movie franchise will be showcased alongside movie memorabilia, images, and video to create a unique Bond experience. The exhibition opens on November 18, 2022, in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The most iconic vehicles piloted by agent 007 will be displayed at the exhibition. Models such as the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 from ‘Goldfinger, the white car-turned-submarine 1977 Lotus Esprit from ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’, the 2007 Aston Martin DBS from ‘Casino Royale’ and the one-of-ten 2015 Aston Martin DB10 that was built specifically for the Bond flick ‘Spectre’ will be present.

“James Bond has driven some of the most exciting and iconic cars in movie history, and he has been involved in some of the greatest car chases ever filmed so to have them form the centerpiece of our exhibit as they take the visitor on a rollercoaster ride of magic Bond moments as expressed through the automobile is thrilling,” said Carly Connors Saratoga Automobile Museum executive director.

Though, die-hard fans would argue that agent 007 didn’t always have the most exotic vehicles at his disposal. Part of his job was to make do with what he had. Hence, the event will also exhibit a motorbike, three-wheeler, Skidoo, wet bike, and submarine driven by the character in earlier movies, along with the Indian motorized rickshaw, or tuk-tuk, that appeared in an unforgettable chase scene through the crowded streets of Udaipur in the film Octopussy (1983).

For all Bond fans, the event is a rare opportunity to witness the officially licensed collection of screen-used cars. “With their machine guns, lasers, ejector seats, and gadgets BOND IN MOTION honors the vehicles from the past 60 years that have wowed us and which are indelibly etched in our minds. We’re thrilled to bring so many of these unique vehicles together under one roof for everyone to enjoy,” concluded Connors.
