Tata Prices The Red Dark Editions

While the trio flaunt a stylish black-red theme inside-out, the Harrier and Safari also gain ADAS.

The wait is over! Tata Motors has launched the Red Dark Editions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari. We first saw the unique versions at the Auto Expo 2023. Besides flaunting a stylish black-red theme inside-out, the trio also gain new tech. Also, they introduce Tata Motors’ new 3 years/1,00,000km standard warranty. Here, check out the variant-wise prices:

The Red Dark Editions extend the #Dark range of variants for all three SUVs. And yes, the Red Dark treatment comes at a premium over their Dark counterparts. All three SUVs boast black paintwork, grille and alloy wheels, while the red brake callipers and the red insert on the grille on the Safari and Harrier add contrast. The Nexon, on the other hand, has red accents on the fog lamp housing and the lower grille. A similar but more balanced mix of red and black is indoors. They have red seat covers and other red highlights (Nexon – Steering wheel; Safari and Harrier – centre console and door grab handles. Even the dashboard features a Steel-Black finish.

Apart from those cosmetic changes, the Harrier and Safari have new features. The list includes a 7.0-inch digital driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, support for 200+ voice commands in six languages and a 360-degree surround view system. However, the standout addition is ADAS, which ropes in safety features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Assist, Blind Spot Detection and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Mechanically, the Red Dark Editions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari aren’t different from their usual selves. That means Nexon continues with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (120hp/170Nm) and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel (115hp/260Nm). Both engines are available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT. On the other hand, the Safari and the Harrier come with a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel mill that produces 170hp/350Nm. A 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic (torque converter) are available as gearbox options.

In India, the Tata Nexon competes with models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. The Harrier is a rival for the MG Hector and the Jeep Compass, whereas the Safari takes on the MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
