What activities are available at the resort?
Active guests have plenty to do. A fully equipped diving centre offers direct access to the Red Sea’s coral reefs, allowing divers to reach the marine life without travelling far. The options continue on land. Guests can take part in beach volleyball, snorkelling, horseback riding and cricket.

Why did Swissôtel open in El Quseir?
The opening reflects Accor’s wider expansion in Egypt, which the group treats as a key growth market. According to Raki Phillips, Regional President for the Premium, Midscale & Economy division across the Middle East, Africa, and Türkiye at Accor, the Red Sea holds clear long-term growth potential.
El Quseir adds to that case. The destination combines preserved natural surroundings with historical depth. For Accor, the opening forms part of its stated push to grow in Egypt.
What renovations are planned for Swissôtel Resort El Quseir?
The resort will undergo a phased renovation programme. This work will upgrade guest rooms, public spaces, and landscaping, and add family and wellness facilities. Importantly, the resort will stay fully operational throughout.
Alec De Wieuw, Cluster General Manager of both Swissôtel Resort El Quseir and Mövenpick Resort El Quseir, has said the work will be gradual. The aim is to improve the resort while keeping the area’s character and natural setting.
