Skoda unveils the Vision 7S concept

The new face of Skoda’s electric cars

Skoda has given us some answers about its future. The Czech brand is now presenting the Vision 7S concept which will serve as a styling roadmap for its future electric models. This design study, which unsurprisingly takes the form of an SUV, features a new face with a slimmed-down grille and T-shaped headlights. The lower skid plate has seven hollowed-out bars. On the bonnet, the brand name appears in letters.

The profile is characterized by its simplicity, with flat surfaces that use sharp edges sparingly. In addition, there are small window areas ending in a thick, sturdy C-pillar that adds dynamism to the overall appearance. At the rear, the T-shaped taillights make a comeback, as do the seven bars on the skid plate. The cabin is minimalist and airy with a large 14.6-inch touchscreen in the centre.

The Vision 7S is particularly spacious and can accommodate up to six people. A practical detail is that the steering wheel folds automatically when the vehicle is in charge to provide more space. Technically, the SUV has an 89 kWh battery with a comfortable range of 370 mi (600 km). For fast charging, the Vision 7S can handle a maximum power of 200 kW. It will be one of the last Volkswagen Group models to be based on the MEB platform.
