RM Sotheby’s hires new personnel to expand UAE presence

Europe team gets a new car specialist too

One of the world’s largest car auction houses, RM Sotheby’s, is now expanding its operations to newer markets. This move is facilitated by hiring new personnel that aid in solidifying its operations in Europe and penetrating new markets such as the UAE.

RM Sotheby announces hiring specialists Niklas Hannah and Ghita Mejdi into its growing world-class team. Hannah comes in the capacity of a Private Sales Car Specialist. Having worked with a French auction house for a decade and with a strong hold on German, Swedish and Italian dialects, he’s been tasked to oversee these European markets.

Ghita Mejdi joins the team as a Senior Consultant in Dubai, covering the Middle East region. Having worked with brands like Fiat Chrysler, Ferrari, and Maserati in corporate marketing and communication positions for the past 20 years, Mejdi will work towards boosting the growth in the Middle East region. She also happens to be the company’s first permanent representative in what’s becoming the world’s most developing car collector market – the UAE.

Greg Anderson, Managing Director of RM Sotheby’s, EMEA, says: “I am delighted to welcome Niklas and Ghita to our expanding EMEA team, bringing their wealth of experience and fine reputations to RM Sotheby’s. This is a crucial step in developing our presence in strategically important markets and furthering our unparalleled client offering and reputation as the leading classic car auction house globally. We have seen remarkable growth in EMEA in the past 12 months and I am very excited to continue to deliver the very best service to our clients.”

The next RM Sotheby auction is the firm’s flagship event in Monterey, held in August.
