What is the PUMA FAST-RB 2?
The FAST-RB NITRO Elite 2, or PUMA FAST-RB 2 for short, opens a new chapter for the FAST-RB line. PUMA developed this rule-breaker in its NITRO Lab. The brand also describes it as a platform for exploring how far designers can push conventional shoe design. Above all, PUMA says every element aims for speed and an authentic running experience.
What technology does the PUMA FAST-RB 2 use?
It starts with the cushioning. PUMA designed its NITROFOAM ELITE cushioning to return more energy. A refined geometry, it says, makes the ride smoother and more responsive. The shoe also has two fused carbon-fibre PWRPLATEs, which PUMA says work together like a springboard to propel the runner.
Up top, PUMA says a reworked ULTRAWEAVE upper stays light and breathable, while holding the foot securely in place. Underneath, a PUMAGRIP outsole adds grip on different surfaces, according to the brand.

What are the FAST-RB NITRO Elite 2 specs?
The shoe weighs 250 g in a UK 8, and it has an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop. PUMA’s website also lists it as a neutral road shoe with maximum cushioning. The men’s version appears there in PUMA Black-Lime Squeeze. Its upper, meanwhile, mixes textile and synthetic materials, while the midsole and outsole are fully synthetic.
Is the PUMA FAST-RB 2 race-legal?
No. PUMA says the shoe is not race-legal. Still, PUMA’s internal studies show it raises running economy to a level the NITRO Lab has never seen. The brand says that makes it the most efficient shoe in PUMA’s road running range.

What does PUMA say about the FAST-RB 2?
Romain Girard, PUMA’s VP of Innovation, says the goal was to push rule-breaking even further. He explains that the team simplified the design and gave the NITROFOAM more room to perform. As a result, he adds, the shoe delivers PUMA’s highest recorded energy return, in a very light package. He also says that two years of innovation, lab tests and athlete collaboration went into refining the shoe.
Jonathan Bannister, who heads marketing at PUMA Middle East, says the brand is proud to bring it to the region. He also looks forward to seeing the brand’s ambassadors try the shoe first-hand.
How much does the PUMA FAST-RB 2 cost in the UAE?
In the UAE, the PUMA FAST-RB 2 costs AED 1,549. However, it launched on 28 October 2026 in limited pairs only. The brand offers them online worldwide. In the region, meanwhile, its Dubai Mall store is the only shop to carry them.
