Porsche India Enroute To Its Best Year Yet

It has already sold more vehicles in the first nine months of the current year than it did in the whole of its previous best calendar year.

Porsche India is all set to break its annual sales record in 2022. No, that’s not based on optimism but on simple maths. The brand recorded a 71 per cent growth over the first nine months of a calendar year, leapfrogging its previous best end-to-year total with three months remaining.

Let’s put some more numbers into the mix to clear the air. In this year’s third quarter, Porsche India retailed 193 units. That helped push 2022’s year-to-date total to 571. In comparison to the brand’s previous best full-year total of 534, which was in 2013, this year’s total sales are already 37 units ahead. And as mentioned above, most of the fourth quarter is still remaining.

Here’s what Manolito Vujicic, who is the brand director at Porsche India, said about this development in an official release:

By holding events like our Porsche Experience Track Days and stimulating the market with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur showcases through our dealerships, we have generated a buzz that will help carry the momentum into the fourth quarter and next year. Having recorded 71 per cent growth year-to-date, we are truly excited to see what the rest of 2022 can deliver for Porsche India, its customers and stakeholders who have made this possible.

In case you didn’t know, Porsche knows how to keep its customers entertained while they await the delivery of their pride and joy. The brand, for instance, conducts Porsche Experience events. That is a full-day track event running over 30 days. During those gatherings, customers get a chance to experience the entire range of Porsche products.

Porsche sells all its models in India. Rather unsurprisingly, the SUVs account for the majority of sales. That said, the 718 siblings and the 911 range do keep the sales counter running. Earlier this year, Porsche India also announced that it had recorded the best half-yearly sales.
