Earlier this week Peugeot hosted a special event to launch the all-new Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008 SUVs in the Middle East. The Cornea Impression was invited to the same. Both new cars, the Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008 SUVs feature Peugeot’s new brand identity, and new brand design with the incorporation of Peugeot’s new i-Cockpit cabin interface for the interior.

Both the Peugeot 3008 and the Peugeot 5008 are built on Peugeot’s new scalable platform. While the 3008 dons the fastback SUV silhouette, the 5008 carries a more conventional seven-seater design. The interior of both Peugeot cars features the advanced Panoramic i-Cockpit which comprises a 21-inch HD screen and customizable ambient lighting with quick-access controls on a dedicated customisable touchscreen panel and physical buttons as well. Also available are advanced safety and driver-assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and the VisioPark 360° system for enhanced driving experience.

Peugeot will retail the 3008 and 5008 in the Middle East in two trims – Allure and GT. While the former is the base trim, both cars and trims come equipped with the same powerful 1.6L turbocharged petrol engine delivering 180 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The top-spec GT trim includes premium offerings such as Alcantara and leather-upholstered seating with the dashboard lined with sustainable soft-touch fabric materials. Prices for the Peugeot 3008 Allure and GT are set at AED 125,00 and AED 150,000 respectively whereas the new 5008 Allure and GT are priced at AED 132,000 and AED 160,000 for the lower and top-end trim.
