New Flying Spur Speed Launched In The UAE

It is one of the last Bentley models to pack the legendary W12 engine.

Bentley took the wraps off the new Flying Spur Speed last September. What is the ultimate version of the super sedan, slotting right on top of the range, has been introduced in the United Arab Emirates. It is amongst the last W12-powered Bentleys money can buy. Also, it is only the second derivative in the super sedan’s portfolio to pack that mammoth powerplant.

Since we’ve touched upon the powertrain, let’s stick to it. The new Bentley Flying Spur Speed packs a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre heart that pumps out 626bhp/900Nm. That’s an increment of 84hp/130Nm above the ‘S’ variant. Coupled with the engine is an 8-speed automatic transmission, which routes the oomph to all four wheels. As a result, the Flying Spur Speed can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds and register 333kmph flat out. Support acts like Bentley Dynamic Ride and electric all-wheel steering help relish the drive.

Besides more-than-impressive performance, the Speed version of the luxo-barge also has a darkened look. That comes courtesy of the high gloss carbon fibre boot lid spoiler, rear diffuser, front bumper splitter and side skirts. Opting for the ‘Blackline’ specification introduces dark elements into the equation, including the front and rear light bezels, wing vents, exhaust outlets, door handles, grille, side window surrounds, Flying B mascot and rear bumper blades.

Here’s what Ahmed Al Habtoor, CEO of Al Habtoor Motors (Bentley’s official dealer partner in the UAE), said in an official release:

With its unrivalled craftsmanship and heritage, the Bentley Flying Spur Speed epitomises the essence of luxury on UAE roads and is the perfect expansion to our esteemed portfolio. The Flying Spur Speed adds to the exceptional range of choices.

There’s a configurator on Bentley’s UAE website. Spend some time to see how you would configure yours if you had to.
