New Bentley Continental GT, GTC & Flying Spur Revealed

With a V8 Hybrid setup that produces 100hp lower than the Speed models.

Bentley has officially unveiled the next chapter in its electrified journey with the introduction of the new Continental GT, GT Convertible (GTC), and Flying Spur — all now available with a brand-new High Performance Hybrid powertrain. These models represent the fourth generation of Bentley’s iconic luxury GT lineup, bringing together its traditional opulence and modern hybrid performance.

Positioned Lower Than The Speed

The Speed models may have kickstarted Bentley’s hybrid era with outrageous power and aggression, but now comes the more stately, refined face of the brand’s electrified movement. Enter the High Performance Hybrid-equipped Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur — still packing a mighty punch with 671hp and 930Nm, but doing so in a more elegant and approachable package.

Despite being less extreme than the Speed variants which use the Ultra Performance Hybrid setup with 771hp, these new models outgun the previous-gen W12-powered GT Speed. In fact, the standard Continental GT now accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 secs, a figure that would have embarrassed even supercars a few years ago.

New Bentley Continental — The Performance

Under the sculpted hoods lies the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 found in the Speed models, albeit slightly detuned. Combined with an in-gearbox electric motor and a 25.9kWh battery pack, the High Performance Hybrid system delivers more than enough firepower to put its rivals on notice. With an all-electric driving range of up to 85km in the GT Coupe and 82km in the GTC, these Continentals offer legitimate EV usability for daily driving.

Thankfully, Bentley hasn’t reserved all the dynamic wizardry for the Speed. These new variants also benefit from rear-wheel steering, an electronic limited-slip differential, Bentley’s 48-volt active anti-roll bars (Dynamic Ride), and dual-chamber air suspension. Controlled via a rotary drive mode selector, drivers can choose between Comfort, Bentley, and Sport settings, tailoring the drive to match their mood.

New Bentley Continental Design: More Regal, Less Aggressive

Though the silhouette and body lines are virtually identical to the Speed models, the new Continentals adopt a more sophisticated aesthetic. Chrome brightware replaces the darkened trim of the Speed, giving these models a classier, more traditional Bentley appearance. The headlights maintain their dazzling crystalline look but are less tinted, and the tail lights are red rather than clear when off. It’s a look that’s more Riviera yacht club than nightclub pit lane — the kind of car that wouldn’t look out of place parked outside the fanciest hotels in the world.

New Bentley Continental Interior

Step inside, and Bentley’s famed cabin craftsmanship is more luxurious than ever. The “core” models feature handcrafted leather with straight fluting, a choice of bright or dark chrome trim, and treadplates inscribed with ‘Handcrafted in Crewe, England.’

But it’s in the Azure trim where Bentley truly leans into ‘wellness and sophistication.’ With new 3D Harmony diamond quilting, crown cut walnut veneers, illuminated Azure treadplates, contrast stitching, and massage seats (including Bentley’s Wellness seating tech), this is Bentley’s rolling sanctuary. Think spa day on wheels — with 671 hp at your beck and call.

New Bentley Continental Azure — Comfort & Class Turned Up To Eleven

The Azure variants take the High Performance Hybrid formula and add a softer, more relaxing twist. On the outside, you’ll find a vertically-vaned bright chrome grille, 22-inch bright machined multi-spoke wheels, Azure fender badging, and gloss black lower accents. Inside, the mood lighting, massage functions, ventilation, and heating for the seats, and stunning open-pore wood veneers make it an experience

New Bentley Continental Flying Spur

The Flying Spur High Performance Hybrid brings supercar-rivalling acceleration to a four-door luxury sedan. It shares the same active chassis tech and refined cabin layout as the GTs, with the added practicality of limousine-like rear space.

In Azure trim, the Flying Spur also benefits from wellness seating for rear passengers, mood lighting, and ultra-luxurious trim choices. Whether you’re behind the wheel or being chauffeured, this is a car built to make every journey memorable.

Bentley’s Electrified Future Takes Shape

With the addition of the High Performance Hybrid lineup, Bentley now offers a spectrum of choices across its luxury performance range. From the ferocious Speed variants to these more understated but no less potent new models, the Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur are now entirely V8 plug-in hybrid.

This isn’t just about emissions or efficiency; it’s about redefining what a luxury grand tourer can be in a hybrid era. Powerful, poised, handcrafted — and now, partially electric. Plus, with endless personalisation options through Mulliner, the customisation options are endless.
