What has Mercedes-Benz India announced for its customers?
Mercedes-Benz India has announced a comprehensive suite of customer-centric service initiatives designed to enhance the ownership experience and reduce the total cost of ownership for its cars in India.
Mercedes-Benz India has inaugurated its largest Luxury car service centre in Mumbai. This state-of-the-art facility also becomes the first in India to operate the AI-powered automated XENTRY Vehicle Scanner.
Why is the AI-powered XENTRY Vehicle Scanner such a big deal?
XENTRY Vehicle Scanner is, as described by Mercedes-Benz, the first AI-powered automated vehicle scanner to be deployed by any carmaker in India. According to Mercedes, the system already exists in overseas markets such as Germany, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Turkey.

The XENTRY system captures a complete 360-degree digital record of the vehicle as it drives through a contemporary, architecturally designed scanner structure at the service reception, creating a snapshot of the car’s exterior condition and sending the data to the service advisor within seconds.
The service advisor greets the customer with a tablet already displaying a complete picture of the car’s exterior condition, every mark on the bodywork and detailed tyre information.
How does this scanner improve the service experience for owners?
The XENTRY Vehicle Scanner is designed to fast-track the initial few minutes of a service centre visit and set a standardised inspection routine and parameters for all customers and their cars regardless of the Service advisor handling their query, eliminating human errors and oversights. This allows both the customer and the service advisor to focus on discussing work that is genuinely required, rather than spending time on manual inspection and paperwork.
What is Service Select and who is it aimed at?
Select Service is positioned as Mercedes-Benz India’s largest customer loyalty programme, curated for cars that are seven years old. This programme aims at a customer demograph which often abandons the authorised service network, citing perceived high service costs once standard warranties on their luxury vehicle come to a close.
Service Select offers savings of up to 25% on select parts for cars over seven years old, along with the benefits of Mobilio Lite, two years warranty on parts and expert care aimed at protecting residual value.
This initiative sits alongside the brand’s broader “Lowest Cost of Ownership” promise, under which it offers the STAR EASE Service Package, its three-year standard warranty and extended warranty coverage of up to six years, enhanced further by ADVANCE ASSURANCE.

What other digital and support initiatives are mentioned?
Mercedes-Benz India offers several digital initiatives under its “Convenience” umbrella. These initiatives include MB.CHARGE for public charging access, the MBFS Mobile App for finance-related services, and SKYLine, a built-in India dealer management system designed to streamline back-end operations for dealerships and ultimately enhance overall customer experience.
What makes the Landmark Cars Mumbai facility significant?
The Landmark Cars facility located in Jogeshwari, Mumbai, is not only its largest Luxury service facility in the city but also acts as a physical stage for Mercedes-Benz’s AI-enabled XENTRY service initiative.
The workshop layout is substantial, accommodating 16 Preventive Maintenance and General Repair bays, nine Body & Paint bays, nine supporting bays, and a dedicated 6,000 sq ft spare-parts area. Around 95 trained professionals help operate the facility.
