Maserati delivers the first-ever MCXtrema supercar at Laguna Seca
The Xtrema is Maserati’s most powerful track-only super sports car,
In the past week, America’s Laguna Seca racetrack has played host to probably more historic moments than a regular racing season. The recently concluded weekend saw Koenigsegg set a new production car lap record with the 1578bhp Jesko Attack hypercar. Following that, Italian carmaker Maserati delivered the first customer MCXtrema, its most powerful track-only super sports car, at the iconic track.
These historic moments piggyback on the success of the ongoing illustrious Monterey Car Week 2024. Following its presence on the Maserati stand at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, this delivery moment was highlighted by the presence of Maserati Chief test driver Andrea Bertolini, who took the MCXtrema on its inaugural laps on the iconic Laguna Seca track, displaying the car’s capabilities with its new owner beside him before handing over the keys for the first time.
Maserati’s MCXtrema embodies the Maserati DNA and performance, boasting a 730hp V6 3.0L twin-turbo Nettuno power plant and a 62-unit production limit. This limited-edition spectacle, built on over four years of development comprising 200 hours of Maserati dynamic simulator, blends exquisite design with unparalleled racing dynamics.
In an attempt to make the universe of MCXtrema owners even more distinctive, Maserati introduces the MCXperience exclusive club that aims to offer services reserved for the customers of the ‘beast’. Concierge service for access to on-track experiences, as well as the MCXtrema Racing kit, designed for drivers by Maserati Centro Stile together with Sparco, will be made available to the customers of this limited-edition track-only supercar.
