Likee partners with flying taxi company EHang

The air mobility firm will showcase its products and activities on the short video platform

The science fiction phenomenon is coming true as we get closer to attaining mass-produced air mobility. Though these AI-controlled flying robot taxis are still undergoing a fair amount of testing, interested audiences now have a verified platform to follow the progress. Likee, a popular short-video platform, has partnered with EHang, a world-leading Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV) technology company, to showcase ‘flying taxis’ and their practices on the forum.

The partnership will see EHang, a China-based autonomous technology firm, set up its official account on Likee where it will post videos of passenger-grade flight demos and aerial media light shows from around the world. EHang is well-versed with the Middle East audience as the firm has been carrying out successful fully autonomous trial flights in Qatar and UAE. The flight demo footprint is further scattered in 11 countries worldwide.

Likee, a popular video platform in the Middle East and North Africa region draws big impressions when it comes to the concept of drones and flying taxis. The short video platform reported over 884.7 million views on #FlyingCars and 21.6 million on #Drone thread channels. Likee boasts of a 150 million user worldwide database.

A spokesperson from EHang further commented, “We believe that through this partnership with Likee, we will be able to amplify our efforts in terms of raising public awareness for air mobility solutions and cement ourselves as a global leader in creating and promoting exceptional AAV technologies not just in the MENA region, but across the world.”
