Jetour Dashing Launched In The UAE

The SUV is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 197hp/290Nm.

China-based carmaker Jetour has launched a new model in the UAE. Dubbed Dashing, it is a five-door SUV. It’ll be retailed via the brand’s authorised dealer – The Elite Cars. The Jetour Dashing comes with a single engine-transmission combo, available in one fully-loaded derivative.

Under the bonnet is a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine that offers 197hp and 290Nm of peak torque. The oomph is harnessed by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which feeds it to the front wheels. The Dashing features an independent suspension setup at both ends, accompanied by ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid discs at the rear.

As mentioned above, there’s just one variant available. And it comes loaded with features. The list includes auto LED headlights, powered ORVMs, keyless entry and start functions, 20-inch alloy wheels, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, remote engine start and a 40-watt wireless mobile charger. The SUV also has a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, four USB ports, an 8-speaker sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control and built-in air purification system.

Even on the safety and assistance systems fronts, the Jetour Dashing is well catered for. It packs adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree monitor, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward and Backward Collision Warning, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX anchorages for child booster seats and an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function.

The Jetour Dashing is available in two colours for the exterior – Grey and Black. The same holds for the interior, albeit in a dual-tone theme – Grey-White and Black-Red. And the standard warranty cover is for 10 years or 1,000,000km, whichever is earlier. The five-seater SUV also has a three-year service package for up to 40,000km.

So, there you have it. The Dashing joins Jetour’s lineup of SUVs, including the X70 and X90, in the region. The question is – would you buy one?
