Iniala Valletta expansion 2026: All you need to know

• Iniala Valletta launches three new wings, two new restaurants, and a longevity wellness ecosystem across 2026. • World-renowned designers, celebrated Thai chef Ian Kittichai, and three-Michelin-starred Simon Rogan shape the expansion. • The boutique hotel group is on course to reach 150 rooms woven through Valletta's historic eastern quarter by 2030.

Valletta is a city that has always rewarded those who look closely. Now, one hotel, Iniala Valletta, is making a compelling case for why Malta’s capital deserves a place on the serious luxury map.

Iniala Valletta, Malta’s only Forbes Five-Star property for five consecutive years and the island’s first two-Michelin-Key hotel, is announcing its most significant expansion to date. Across 2026, the boutique hotel group adds three new wings, two signature dining destinations, and a pioneering longevity wellness ecosystem, all within the fabric of a UNESCO World Heritage city.

What is opening at Iniala Valletta in 2026?

The expansion introduces three distinct additions. The Solis wing opens on July 17, 2026, followed by the Magistero wing on Republic Street in October, and the FrancoMaria Suite within the original Harbour House building. Together, they add 21 new keys to the property, pointing towards 90 rooms by 2027 and 150 by 2030.

What makes Solis and Anaalā stand out?

Solis is a restored Maltese palazzo designed by Madrid-based studio A-cero. Founders Joaquín Torres and Rafael Llamazares carved modern, sculptural spaces from within the building’s ancient stone, producing nine suites where bespoke furnishings and raw globigerina limestone exist in quiet conversation. Above it all sits the Solis Club, an exclusive rooftop pool with views over the Grand Harbour skyline.

Perched atop Solis, Anaalā by Ian Kittichai opens on the same date. The rooftop restaurant brings the celebrated Thai chef’s cooking to Valletta for the first time, fusing the intensity of Thai culinary tradition with contemporary technique and Mediterranean light.

What is Magistero, and what is SiR by Simon Rogan?

Magistero is the bolder counterpart to Solis. The eleven-suite wing, designed by Verter Turroni of Italy’s Imperfetto Lab, features furniture and objects created exclusively for the project, and no two rooms share the same pieces. In a notable first, conventional televisions are replaced by Hisense L9Q Laser Projectors paired with Devialet speakers, turning each bedroom wall into a cinema screen.

At its heart sits SiR by Simon Rogan, opening in November 2026. Rogan, who already steers Iniala Valletta’s two-Michelin-starred ION Harbour, takes a more convivial approach here, sharing plates, unhurried dining, and a menu rooted in Malta’s local produce. By year’s end, Iniala Valletta will operate four signature dining destinations.

What else is new in 2026?

The FrancoMaria Suite, named after the couple who called the space home for sixty years, offers a deeply residential feel with bespoke interiors by Sebastian Brajkovic and Greta Design.

In September, Iniala Valletta launches Within, a longevity and wellbeing ecosystem developed in partnership with Saint James Hospital, integrating advanced diagnostics, spa, movement, and recovery into one cohesive programme.

How much does a stay cost?

Rates at Harbour House and Vitalis start at EUR 450 (approximately GBP 390) per night on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Solis and Magistero start from EUR 700 (approximately GBP 610) per night. Those interested can make their reservations via the group’s official website.
