Hublot has introduced the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025, a Mediterranean summer inspired watch.

Hands and hour-markers (combination of Arabic numerals and facetted) are coated with luminescent material.

Diameter: 42 mm. Thickness: 14.50 mm.
Case and caseback are made from microblasted orange ceramic. Bezel is made from microblasted sky blue ceramic and features 6 H-shaped titanium screws. Dial and caseback side feature a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Water resistant up to 10 ATM or approximately 100 metres.
Watch comes with a sky blue and white lined rubber strap. Additional straps include a dark blue and white lined rubber strap, and an orange and white lined rubber strap. The deployant buckle clasp is made from titanium. Straps are interchangeable via Hublot’s patented “One-Click” system.
Movement

Powered by HUB1280 Unico, a manufacture automatic flyback chronograph movement with a column-wheel.
Parts: 354. Jewels: 43. Frequency: 28,800 vph or 4 Hz. Power reserve: Approximately 72 hours.
The main-plate and bridges are blue plated. The skeletonised automatic winding rotor is blue plated. Its central part is made from satin-finished tungsten.

I like the Hublot Big Bang collection and believe it is a modern-day icon. I wrote about the Big Bang 20th anniversary “Own It” campaign featuring Choupette – “the world’s most famous and pampered feline.”
