HONOR has launched the HONOR MagicPad4, a new flagship tablet. At just 4.8mm thick, it is now officially the thinnest tablet in the world. It is also the first tablet to run on the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and connects seamlessly across brands, including Apple devices. HONOR unveiled it earlier this year at MWC 2026. However, the tablet is available now in the UAE via HONOR’s official website.
What makes the HONOR MagicPad4 the world’s thinnest tablet?
The HONOR MagicPad4 is 4.8mm thick. That makes it 0.3mm slimmer than the iPad Pro, which sits at 5.1mm. It also weighs around 450g, placing it among the lightest tablets at this screen size.
To get there, HONOR uses what it calls a “Crescent Structure” alongside aerospace-grade special fibre. Together, these increase structural stiffness by 30 per cent and cut weight by 32 per cent. When paired with the keyboard and stylus, the full setup comes to around 852g. For context, that is less than a 13-inch MacBook Air.
What display does the HONOR MagicPad4 have?
The tablet has a 12.3-inch OLED screen. It covers 93 per cent of the front surface and has 4mm bezels on all sides. The display runs at 165Hz and has a resolution of 3000×1920 pixels. Beyond that, peak brightness reaches 2400 nits, which helps with outdoor use. It also supports 1.07 billion colours.
As for eye comfort, the screen holds TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free performance. On top of that, HONOR includes seven eye-comfort features. These include 5280Hz PWM dimming, a Chip-Level AI Defocus Display, and what the brand says is the industry-first DOT Eye Comfort Technology.

How powerful is the HONOR MagicPad4?
The HONOR MagicPad4 is the first tablet to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, built on a 3nm process. It comes in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. Both run on MagicOS, based on Android 16.
To back that up, the tablet runs on a 10,100mAh battery with 66W HONOR SuperCharge support. For heat management, HONOR uses a 13-layer 3D thermal system with a heat-dissipation area of 81,717mm². The tablet also has eight speakers with HONOR Spatial Audio for sound during calls and media playback.
Can the HONOR MagicPad4 replace a laptop?
The tablet includes a PC Mode. Once switched on, it shows a desktop-style interface with a file management system, navigation bars, and full mouse support. Standard keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl+C and Alt+Tab work as expected. In addition, users can run multiple windows simultaneously using gestures.
Does the HONOR MagicPad4 work with Apple devices?
Yes. Through HONOR Connect, the tablet can act as an extended display for a Mac. It can also instantly connect to and share files with iPhones and iPads. This is notable, as most tablets in this category do not support cross-brand connectivity at this level.
Beyond hardware, the device includes HONOR AI Memo, which records meetings, generates minutes, and automatically identifies individual speakers. It works alongside other tools such as AI Meeting Agent, Smart Reminder, AI Summary, and AI Voiceprint Noise Cancellation.
