What is the new Laureato Fifty Tourbillon Micro-Rotor 39 MM?

It continues to honour Girard-Perregaux’s Laureato, the brand’s versatile luxury watch that celebrated its 50^th anniversary last year. The Laureato Fifty Tourbillon Micro-Rotor 39 MM combines five signature elements of the brand. These include the brand’s distinctive bridges, the lyre-shaped tourbillon cage, a Grand Feu enamel dial (blue dial reference), and the Laureato design featuring its iconic octagonal-shaped bezel and a “Clous de Paris” dial pattern (both references). It is powered by an all-new manufacture calibre. It is a Geneva Watch Days launch, held during 2^nd – 6^th September 2026.

What are the dial features?

Grand Feu blue enamel dial on a white gold base.

18K solid gold rose-toned dial.

Both dials showcase a “Clous de Paris” dial pattern. Baton-shaped hour and minute hands and applied hour-markers are made from 18K solid gold and coated with luminescent material (blue emission).

What are the case and bracelet features?

The case of both versions is made from stainless steel, measuring 39 mm (Diameter) and 10 mm (thickness). Dial side and caseback feature sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment. Water resistant up to 5 ATM or approximately 50 metres.

Integrated bracelet is made from stainless steel, featuring a triple folding clasp with 4 mm of fine adjustment.

Is it a powered by an automatic movement?

Yes, the all-new manufacture calibre GP8410-2574 is an automatic movement featuring a micro-rotor made. It drives the hours, minutes, and tourbillon. The small seconds is on the tourbillon. It measures 30.40 mm or 13 ¼ lignes (diameter) * 6.10 mm (thickness), comprises 207 parts and 31 jewels, beats at a luxurious rate of 3 Hz or 21,600 vph and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.

Founded in 1791, the 235-year-old Girard-Perregaux is no stranger to grand complications. I experienced this first-hand during Dubai Watch Week last year when I was fortunate to handle a few of their audacious minute repeaters. I have seen my share of grand complications, yet this was a kid in a candy store moment for me.
