G-Power Can Add Up To 31% More Power To The G80 M3 CS
The tuning house offers three tuning packages for the top-tier M3 derivative.
For most keen drivers, the standard BMW M3 (G80) is plenty to keep them entertained. Those wanting a bit more can opt for the M3 Competition xDrive, which raises the performance bar with all-wheel drive and more punch. And then there’s the undisputed daddy of the range – the limited-run M3 CS with 550hp/650Nm on tap, track tyres as standard and 20 kilograms lighter than the Competition sedan.
All that is great, but what if you want something that makes the M3 CS more of what it is meant to be? Enter the G-Power G3M CS Bi-Turbo. In simple English, a tuned M3 CS G80 that can worry more fancy sportscars out there.
How spicy you want your BMW M3 CS to be depends on which of the three tuning packages you choose. For instance, if you wish to add one additional chilli to the recipe, the entry-level package will do. The GP-620 performance software and a Deeptone rear muffler bump the output to 620hp/750Nm. If that’s a bit bland, get the GP-670 package with a Deeptone exhaust system comprising centre and rear mufflers. That ups the output to 670hp/800Nm, while the exhaust gases escape through two 100mm and two 110mm tailpipes.
Those seeking even more spice can bump the peak output to 720hp/850Nm from the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder powerplant. That comes courtesy of the GP-720 software upgrade and a Deeptone exhaust system, including additional sport downpipes with 200-cell metal catalytic converters. In this package, the top speed limit is also increased to 320kmph.
The example here also boasts several visual upgrades to match its upscaled performance. The G-Power G3M CS Bi-Turbo has GP Shuriken carbon front corner elements, a carbon rear wing, an edition badge and G-Power-branded carpets. The go-fast sedan also has two options for the wheels and the Venturi carbon hood – RR and RS. Spanning 20 inches in diameter, the rims can be clubbed with 285/30R20 or 295/25 profile tyres. Other options to consider include a G-Power steering wheel with LEDs, a carbon front spoiler and carbon side skirts.
So, it all boils down to a simple question – do you dig G-Power’s efforts to make the M3 CS spicier?
