First A330neo For Malaysia Airlines Delivered By Airbus

It features a two-class layout with seating space for 297 passengers.

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has delivered the first A330neo aircraft to Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG). Specifically, it is an A330-900 for Malaysia Airlines, part of MAG. It is the first of twenty aircraft to be leased from Avolon by MAG. The airline plans to introduce the newly inducted jet on Asia and the Pacific routes. The carrier will also use the A330-900 on a few routes to the Middle East.

The Airbus A330-900 delivered to MAG features a two-class configuration: 28 fully flat Business Class suites and an Economy section with seating for 269 passengers. Larger overhead storage, the latest in-flight entertainment, and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity are among the cabin’s highlights. Two Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines power the aircraft.

Airbus claims that MAG is the twentieth operator to order the A330neo. To date, the manufacturer has delivered over 140 examples of the A330neo jet to various airlines worldwide.
