To expand travellers’ flight options and address increasing demand, Etihad Airways has confirmed a third daily flight between Abu Dhabi and Milan from November 1, 2025. As a result, UAE’s national carrier will offer 12,600 seats every week between the two cities. That equates to a year-on-year increase in capacity of nearly 115 per cent.
Depending on the flight, two different types of aircraft will ferry passengers. Flight EY 0087, which will leave from Abu Dhabi at 02:45 and land at Milan Malpensa Airport at 06:40, will be served by a Boeing 777-300. The return journey – EY 0088 – starts and concludes at 09:55 and 19:00, respectively. The same aircraft type will also fly travellers on flight EY79, departing from the UAE’s capital at 14:25 and arriving in Milan at 18:20. The same jet will represent flight EY80, which will leave from Milan at 21:50 and land in Abu Dhabi at 06:55 the next day.
The newly announced third service will be served on an Airbus A321LR. Flight EY 0087 will leave Abu Dhabi and arrive in Milan at 09:10 and 13:15, respectively. The return journey (EY 0088) starts at 15:10 and concludes at 00:25 the next day. All times mentioned are local, and all three flights will operate daily.
Etihad wanted to celebrate the expansion of the route. Therefore, it has announced a sale until January 29, 2025, with enticing Economy fares. For travel between June 1 and November 30, 2025 (July and August excluded), travellers can get fares starting at AED 398 one-way as part of a return trip. Those interested can make their bookings via the airline’s official website.
