Etihad Is Now Flying Direct To Nairobi

The new route will be served four times every week.

The UAE’s national airline, Etihad Airways, has launched its tenth new route in 2024. The carrier is now operating a direct service between its hub, Abu Dhabi, and Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The inaugural flight between the capitals departed on December 15, 2024. An Airbus A320 ferried passengers.

Etihad will offer the new route four times weekly: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The outbound flight—EY 767—will depart from Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport at 09:05 and arrive in Nairobi at 13:30. Those travelling in the other direction will board flight EY 768, which takes off from Nairobi at 18:20 and lands in Abu Dhabi at 00:20 the next day. All times mentioned are local.

Etihad Airways launched nine other routes in the current calendar year: Antalya, Bali, Boston, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Mykonos, Nice, Qassim, and Thiruvananthapuram. In 2025, thirteen new destinations will further expand the airline’s network. Those are Warsaw and Prague in June, Al Alamein and Atlanta in July, Taipei in September, Medan, Phnom Penh, and Krabi in October, and Tunis, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, Hanoi, and Algiers in November.
