UAE’s national carrier, Etihad Airways, is on a spree to expand its presence across various markets worldwide. To that end, the airline has announced ten new routes in a single day. All of them are scheduled to go operational next year. These new destinations will complement those already announced for 2025, including Warsaw, Prague, and Al Alamein.
The newly announced destinations are Algiers (Algeria), Atlanta (Georgia), Chiang Mai, Krabi (both in Thailand), Hanoi (Vietnam), Hong Kong, Medan (Indonesia), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Taipei (Taiwan) and Tunis (Tunisia).
The service to Atlanta comes alive starting July 2, 2025, with four weekly flights scheduled. An Airbus A350 will ferry passengers. Then, beginning September 7, 2025, the Abu Dhabi-Taipei route goes live with one daily service. On this route, Etihad will deploy a Boeing 787. Less than a month later, on October 2, 2025, nonstop Etihad service between the UAE’s capital and Medan will come into action. An Airbus A321LR will do the rounds. The following day will see the introduction of the Abu Dhabi-Phnom Penh route, beginning with four weekly flights. Here, too, an Airbus A321LR will fly travellers.
The same single-aisle twin-engined jet will also serve multiple routes, including Krabi, Tunis, Chiang Mai, Hanoi and Algiers. In the same order, flights to those destinations start on October 9, November 1, November 3, November 3, and November 7. Lastly, the Abu Dhabi-Hong Kong route will be served on a Boeing 787. It goes live on November 3, 2025, with five weekly flights planned. The table below shows additional information.
