As the UAE cements its position as one of the world’s fastest-growing motorsport hubs, Dubai Autodrome continues to play a pivotal role in the region’s rise. From iconic international endurance events to national championships, the venue has become a magnet for motorsport talent, fans, and industry stakeholders.
Over the past season, Dubai Autodrome has hosted a wide range of international and regional racing series, including the 24H Series, Asian Le Mans, Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, Gulf Historic, Clio Cup Middle East, Gulf ProCar, Gulf Radical Cup, and the DSBK National Championship. As interest in motorsport continues to rise in the Emirates, Dubai Autodrome has positioned itself as the beating heart of competitive racing in the region.
Speaking after the conclusion of an unforgettable season, Faisal Al Sahlawi, General Manager of Dubai Autodrome, called the 2024/25 campaign “incredible”, citing the venue’s record-breaking attendance and an action-packed calendar that celebrated two decades of racing excellence.
The recently concluded season marked the 20th anniversary of Dubai Autodrome and featured over 15 major racing competitions in just six months. Highlights included the 24H Dubai, which drew more than 70 teams—featuring the largest GT3 grid to date—along with the Asian Le Mans Series, Formula Regional Middle East Championship, Formula 4 Middle East, and the Formula Woman Nations Cup.
In addition to its competitive calendar, the venue also delivered over 80 track days and 20 roll racing events, reinforcing its commitment to grassroots motorsport and community engagement.
The 24H Dubai, held as part of Dubai Autodrome’s 20th anniversary season, proved to be a landmark moment—attracting over 30,000 spectators, the largest crowd in the event’s history.
“We are very pleased with the recent motorsport season, which coincided with the 20-year celebrations of Dubai Autodrome,” said Al Sahlawi. “Overall, there was exciting and competitive racing on the track with bigger grids and an array of top international and regional drivers in action, while off the track, there was a record number of spectators for the 24H Dubai with more than 30,000 attendees for this flagship event. This shows that motorsport is growing in the UAE and is going from strength to strength, which bodes well for the future.”
“Planning is already underway for the new 2025/26 season, and it will be one of the busiest seasons at Dubai Autodrome, as we have the Gulf Historic back, where iconic 1960s cars and historic F1 cars from the 70s and 80s will all be on display, as well as top racing on the track. There will also be four international races, including the 24H Dubai, and an array of top regional and local motorsport competitions where we expect to have a greater number of participants during the course of the season.” he added.
Beyond the track, Dubai Autodrome is playing an increasingly important role in supporting the UAE’s wider economic and tourism goals. With over 55,000 people—including drivers, teams, and officials—involved in motorsport events throughout the season, the impact on airlines, hotels, and hospitality businesses has been significant.
“Not only are we pleased to be playing our part to support the UAE’s growth beyond the motorsport races, but it is also a testament to the success of Union Properties’ vision of enhancing Dubai Autodrome’s position as a leading motorsport hub in the region.” added Al Sahlawi.
As the countdown to the 2025/26 motorsport season begins, excitement is building across the UAE and beyond. With a packed calendar of international and regional events, all eyes are once again on Dubai Autodrome. Whether you’re a lifelong racing enthusiast or new to the world of motorsport, the upcoming season promises unmissable action on and off the track.
