Celebrating 30 Years: The McLaren 750S Le Mans Edition

To celebrate a huge milestone in its racing history, McLaren Automotive is launching a special, limited-edition supercar: the 750S Le Mans. This exclusive model marks the 30th anniversary of McLaren’s incredible debut win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995, where the McLaren F1 GTR #59 clinched victory and three other F1 GTRs finished in the top five. It also highlights McLaren’s exciting plan to return to the top-tier Hypercar class at Le Mans in 2027. If you’re a collector, you’ll want to know this: only 50 cars will be built globally, making the 750S Le Mans incredibly sought-after.

This special edition pays direct homage to that legendary #59 F1 GTR. It comes in a matching Le Mans Grey exterior paint (with a striking McLaren Orange option available too), features a distinctive roof scoop, and rides on iconic 5-spoke LM wheels. A major highlight is the new MSO High Downforce Kit (HDK), which adds serious visual drama and boosts the 750S’s aerodynamic performance. This kit includes a raised carbon fibre Active Rear Spoiler with integral endplates, working with an enlarged carbon fibre front splitter and rear wing. Together, these enhancements increase downforce by 10 per cent compared to the standard 750S, greatly improving track performance and echoing the aerodynamic additions of the famous McLaren F1 LM. The HDK package is completed with a body-coloured carbon fibre under-wing panel featuring gloss black louvres.

Inside, customers can choose between two unique Le Mans-themed interior colour combinations: Carbon Black with Dove Grey or Carbon Black with McLaren Orange. Both options feature prominent Le Mans branding on the headrests and floor mats, along with a special dedication plaque. Every car also comes with a suite of unique standard features that emphasize its racing heritage.

For those wanting to personalize further, a range of exclusive options are available. These include extensive use of Gloss Visual Carbon Fibre for exterior details like hood air intakes, mirror casings, side air intakes, and even rear spoiler endplates. You can also opt for a full Gloss Visual Carbon Fibre HDK and Underbody pack, or specific carbon fibre louvre packs. A Track Brake Upgrade with F1 Gold Special Colour Brake Calipers is also an option. As a cool touch for purchasers, an optional track record plaque, mounted in the front luggage compartment, lists the 1995 Le Mans victory alongside McLaren’s other Triple Crown achievements and motorsport successes.

Underneath all the special touches, the 750S Le Mans retains the award-winning performance of the standard 750S. It’s powered by McLaren’s mid-mounted, 750PS (740 hp) M840T 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. A motorsport-inspired carbon fibre Monocage II central structure and Proactive Chassis Control III suspension system ensure the 750S remains the lightest and most agile car in its class, now further enhanced by the HDK aerodynamic additions. The vehicle is fitted with Pirelli P ZEROâ„¢ tyres as standard, with higher-performance Pirelli P ZEROâ„¢ Corsa and track-focused Pirelli P ZEROâ„¢ Trofeo R tyres available as options, all engineered specifically by McLaren and Pirelli.

Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer at McLaren Automotive, perfectly summed it up: “The 750S Le Mans marks not just 30 years since our debut victory in the iconic race but an exciting time for the brand with McLaren GT3 EVO cars competing in this year’s race and the announcement of our return to the top, Hypercar class in 2027. This exclusive 750S is the first McLaren Le Mans edition since the F1 LM to feature HDK aerodynamic enhancements and is set to become one of our most sought-after supercars.” This new model is truly a fitting tribute to a legendary racing history.
