Cadillac InnerSpace Concept debuts in the Middle East

The InnerSpace Concepts gets showcased as the ‘Car of the Future’ at the GITEX Global convention

Did you know that Dubai plans to have 25 per cent of its transportation running on autonomous technology by 2030? While the fully-automated metro network aids the cause in public transportation, Cadillac’s latest InnerSpace concept proposes a road-going solution.

The InnerSpace concept is a dramatic two-passenger, fully electric and autonomous luxury vehicle, and Cadillac is showcasing the same at GITEX Global 2022, the region’s most prominent technology event. The car is brought to the GITEX platform by an association between Cadillac Arabia and e& (formerly known as Etisalat Group) and gets positioned at the coveted “Car of the Future” spot.

Cadillac claims the InnerSpace concept “allows two passengers to focus on enjoying their trips safely” as autonomous mobility takes over the commute operations for increased personal time. A panoramic SMD LED display comprises the controls for the AI-driven biometric input and interfaces. The latter has three themes – Augmented Reality Engagement, Entertainment and Wellness Recovery, to be selected by the occupants for the drive. The Ultium battery modules are connected wirelessly, enabling a spacious cabin.

The exterior features expansive, panoramic glass on the roof and part of the body sides to offer almost unimpeded views. The roof lifts with the door for more comfortable entry and egress. The seats also pivot outward when the doors are opened. The tires are Goodyear rubbers with SoundComfort technology designed to help mitigate soundwave resonance within the tire for a quiet ride.

“At Cadillac we have a vision for the future to provide our clients effortless travel through extraordinary means. For over ten decades, we have introduced groundbreaking technologies to deliver the most comprehensively advanced driving experience in every era. InnerSpace takes it a step further, by completely reimagining the user experience of a fully autonomous luxury car. To be able to bring this to Dubai, one of the most forward-thinking cities in the Arab world that is already embracing autonomy, is a real privilege. Thank you to e& for partnering with us for this incredible showcase and believing in our future vision to make automobiles cleaner, safer and better,” said Kristian Aquilina, Managing Director of Cadillac International Operations and Cadillac Middle East.

The InnerSpace Concept can be viewed between October 10th to October 14th at the Technology Innovators Showcase at GITEX Global 2022.
