Burberry Launches Eyewear Collection For Fall/Winter 2023

The range exudes the brand’s bold style while using sustainable materials.

British brand Burberry has introduced its new eyewear collection for the Fall/Winter season 2023. The boldness is immediately recognisable in the entire range, whether conceived for men, women or both. Fourteen styles have been bifurcated into six categories – B. Logo, B. Stripe, B. Logo Metal, B. Logo Jewel, TB. Evolution and Daniel Lee Capsule Collection.

In the Daniel Lee Capsule Collection are three unisex-style sunglasses, all featuring recycled acetate CRT. In the BE4415 model, Burberry has injected fine details inspired by its jewellery and British icons, such as the Rose of England, the check & the Equestrian Knight on each temple. Opting for the BE4416 derivative will rope in a flat brow bar with a unique keyhole bridge, metal detailing, Burberry logo and Equestrian Knight. The BE4417 are oversized pilot frame sunglasses with a metal plaque on each side featuring Burberry motifs, the check and the Rose of England.

The TB. Evolution also has three models. Flexing a cat-eye frame in recycled acetate CRT (at least 25 per cent) and bio-nylon (at least 45 per cent, used on arms), the BE 4405 makes a bold statement. The interlocking Thomas Burberry monogram is a classy touch. Similar details but in an oversized square frame are found on the BE 2388 model. The BE 4406U also uses the same sustainable materials in the same quantity but with a bold, large square shape.

In the B. Logo Jewel category are BE 4410 and BE 2392 models. Both feature metal Burberry logos at the temples, 25 per cent recycled content and a cat-eye style. But where the former has an oversized square silhouette, the latter is sleeker to behold. Similarly, the B. Logo Metal range has BE 4408 and BE 1381 models. The common aspects are the use of recycled materials and Burberry logo lettering. However, the BE 4408 has an unconventional look, with the arms stretching out from closer to the bottom end. On the other hand, the BE 1381 model features a Vanguard shape in a metal frame.

Rounding off the new collection are the B. Stripe and B. Logo categories, both with two models each. Segmented under B. Stripe are the BE 4403 and BE 2387 models. As the name suggests, the frames and arms are full of stripes. But where the former has a rectangular form factor, the latter is more on the square side. The B. Logo category models – BE 4401 and BE 2385 – are unisex. Both feature irregular frames made of bio-nylon with raised rubber embellishments. Burberry says that at least 45 per cent of both these models are made of bio-based carbon content.

All models mentioned above are available in multiple variations. Of the lot, which one is your favourite?
