BMW Motorrad CE 04 all-electric scooter forays into the UAE

To offer a radically futuristic design and 120kph top speed

BMW Motorrad, known for making adventurer bikes, now forays into the electric scooter division with its latest creation – the CE 04. And Abu Dhabi Motors, the official importer of BMW Group vehicles in Abu Dhabi, has announced plans to retail this new all-electric scooter in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain regions.

The new CE 04 features radical design, building on its futuristic layout showcased as a concept in Italy in 2017. The CE 04 derives its powertrain from a BMW SUV. The electric motor deployed here is a shortened version of the X3 plug-in hybrid’s electric motor, producing a peak output of 42hp and 62Nm torques.

BMW Motorrad claims the CE 04 will offer a smooth and stable ride with a top speed of 120kph. It further comes with a rapid charge time of 100 mins to extract a claimed range of 130 km. Driving modes are also available, each offering regenerative braking with varied capacities. An optional Dynamic drive mode is also available for aggressive throttle response and strongest regeneration via brakes.

The rider would enjoy a futuristic 10.25-inch display screen with wireless charging ports implemented into the speedometer, a standard feature across the BMW Group’s fleet to ensure essential driver assistance.

Following the first official unveiling at Abu Dhabi Motors showrooms across the Emirate, Syed Fayez Kareem, ADM General Manager, said, “We are thrilled to announce the all-new BMW Motorrad CE 04 has arrived in Abu Dhabi as we usher in the era of electromobility.” He further added, “Motorcycle enthusiasts can visit any of our Abu Dhabi Motors showrooms to see the new model first-hand, with test drives now available for new motorcyclists to experience the CE 04 first-hand.”
