Bentley Collector And Enthusiast Receives His Bentayga Apex Edition By Mulliner

This option is available exclusively to owners of limited edition Le Mans Collection Continental GT or GT Convertible

Mark King, a long-time Bentley enthusiast and collector based in Northern Ireland, has received the latest addition to his extensive Bentley collection: his Bentayga Apex Edition. It is one of only 20 examples handcrafted by Mulliner worldwide in the same colours and finishes as the 2023 Le Mans Collection Continental GT.

The Bentayga Apex Edition is available in six carefully selected colours and finishes, but Mr. King’s Verdant and Moonbeam colours are only available to existing Le Mans Collection owners.

Mr. King has a garage containing a Bentayga Speed, a rare Continental GT3-R, and a Continental Flying Spur, which he uses regularly. He has owned a Bentley since 2010 and commissioned a Continental GT from the Le Mans Collection in 2023. His current Bentayga Speed has covered over 100,000 miles during his ownership.

The Apex Bentayga is based on the Bentayga S, the flagship sports car in Bentley’s SUV range. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine produces 542 hp and 770 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 kmph.

The Apex Edition takes performance to a new level. It features ultra-strong 22-inch Mulliner carbon wheels, which save 44 kg of unsprung mass for improved handling agility, and carbon-ceramic brakes for potent and rapid braking.

Designed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Bentley’s sixth Le Mans victory, the 2023 Le Mans Collection Continental GT features a green and black livery specification inspired by the black and green livery of the winning No. 7 Speed 8. The black Beluga grille features an Arctic White number 7, while other distinctive features include 22-inch black 10-spoke wheels, powerful carbon-ceramic brakes, and red brake callipers.

All Le Mans Collection cars feature a six-wreath logo, complemented by a high-gloss carbon fibre front fascia, commemorating Bentley’s six Le Mans victories between 1924 and 2003. The highlight of the interior is the Bentley Rotating Screen, which rotates to reveal a central display panel bearing part of the engine valve of the winning 2003 Speed 8.
