Gentlemen, we’re back! Break out the brews, put on the rock and roll, and let’s jump some trucks. Or that’s what Ram wants you to think about when you hear RAM. They’ve taken their current offerings and mixed them up with actor Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) with a fun take on the ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ fairy tale.
Interestingly enough, Ram is the only automaker with a Super Bowl commercial this year, and they’ve gone all out by taking up 60 seconds of your time. Directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2, John Wick), this commercial tells a story of fire-breathing dragons, bears, and volcanos and puts a humorous spin on Goldilocks and the Three Bears.’
Instead of porridge, you get three trucks, not driven by bears, but the bears do make an appearance. Glen is shown reading this humorous story he made up to some children and seems all to read to make it happen. Being no stranger to Ram, he first helped advertise their new generation of trucks in April of 2024 which culminated in last year’s remake of “Twisters.”
“I spent most of the ‘Twisters’ shoot in a Ram truck and it just felt right,” says Powell. “Being part of this Super Bowl spot feels like a natural continuation of my connection to a brand that has already brought me so much joy behind the wheel. And to top it all off, one of my favorite filmmakers, the legendary David Leitch, brought his signature style to create something truly fun and action-packed. As if that wasn’t enough, I had the chance to play Uncle Glen alongside my real-life niece and nephew, Gwen and Witt, a role that hit close to home in the best way. In my family, the Super Bowl is more than just football, it’s about coming together and, yes, judging the commercials. Having my family in my first Super Bowl ad felt like the perfect way to bring everything full circle.”
“Hauling a barbequed dragon and jumping volcanoes definitely falls out of the common duty cycle for a Ram pickup, but that doesn’t make it impossible,” said Tim Kuniskis, Ram Brand CEO. “The choice between the all-new 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger, a combination of electric and ICE that will open up for orders soon, the Ram 2500 Rebel heavy duty and the Ram 1500 RHO may not come easy, but we always want to offer our truck-buyers options. Whether it’s gasoline powered or electric powered, or perhaps a combination of both, Ram truck buyers, like Glen, are given the power of choice, allowing them to be the hero of their own story.”
Cheers!
